The Asia Pacific Congress of Heart Failure was in only its fourth year and had not yet built a strong and established following. It had not previously been staged in Australia.

To maximise revenue, arinex carried out extensive market research through our relationships with some of the industry's major players to gauge the level of interest from the industry for the meeting. This research formed the basis of the sponsorship packages and prices offered as well as set targets on the level of revenue we could expect to achieve.

Once the packages were signed off by the Organising Committee, arinex used its relationships to set up meetings with each of the major industry players to confirm their commitment. Another important tool used was Congress promotions at other key medical meetings. These promotions significantly contributed to the awareness and credibility of the Congress as well as establishing new relationships and strengthening existing ones.

Overall the success of the sponsorship & exhibition revenue raised for the Congress can be attributed to a combination of factors. These include a close co-operative relationship between the OC and arinex and the leverage of arinex reputation as a provider of well managed, well delivered events that fulfil sponsor or exhibitor requirements. Other factors include our flexibility to tailor packages to best suit a sponsor's marketing strategy and maximise their investment, a thorough understanding of the most effective ways to sell your Congress to your industry, tenacity and the resources to devote many man hours to not just meet the targets set but to exceed them.
